Incomplete Circles

This painting is a reflection of our lives. Throughout our journey, we begin many paths, we create many circles, but few ever close completely. The ones we finish are often the smallest. Some of our endeavors are vast, others humble; some begin at the wrong time or in the wrong place, and some stretch far beyond the frame of our own lives. Yet, even in their incompleteness, beauty persists, in every color, shade, and trace of effort that shapes who we are.

Abstract Reflection

Our lives mirror the choices we've made. Every action, no matter how small, sends ripples into the future, shaping moments we have yet to live. Each thought, each word, each deed becomes part of that reflection, returning to us in color and form. If we wish to create a beautiful tomorrow, we must nurture a beautiful now.

Captivating Beauty

This painting is inspired by nature. In the background, different shades of green echo the diversity of our true selves. On that deeper level, we are all the same, distinct hues of the same essence. Yet, on the surface, our differences often seem to separate us. The black lines speak of the sorrows we share, the white lines of joy and good fortune, and the golden lines of our accomplishments and learning. For the piece to feel whole, for it to be beautiful, each color, each line, must find harmony with the others. Only then does the full picture of our shared humanity emerge.

There is something profoundly beautiful about the way chaos can hold harmony within it. Our lives often feel tangled and unpredictable, like colors splashed across a canvas without order. But when we step back, we begin to see the balance, the rhythm that connects it all. What once seemed random reveals a quiet intention, a hidden design. Even within disorder, there is grace.

Beautiful Black

Black is often misunderstood, seen as emptiness or absence. But to me, it is fullness, depth, and quiet strength. Within it, every color finds its balance, every emotion its rest. The yellow line speaks of light and purpose, the red of passion and courage. Together, they rise from the stillness of black, reminding us that beauty often emerges from simplicity and restraint. It is in contrast that meaning takes shape.

Every idea begins as a spark, unrefined, unpredictable, and alive. These pieces capture that first moment of creation, when thought and emotion collide before finding form. The yellow speaks of imagination, the red of passion, and the black of depth and reflection. Abstract Realism by Mohabbat Ahmadi

I once drew realistic portraits, intent on capturing what already existed, the beauty of nature and the human form. But when I discovered photography, I realized that realism already has its perfect medium. Through the lens, I could honor what is. Painting, then, became something else, not a recreation, but a reimagination. When I approach a portrait now, I think less about likeness and more about essence. I try to breathe life into something new, something unfamiliar. In this way, my paintings are not imitations of beauty, but explorations of it.

Adiel

This commissioned piece was created using the favorite colors of a five-year-old, bright, bold, and full of life. I wanted the painting to capture that pure sense of wonder and playfulness that only a child's imagination can hold. Working on this piece reminded me of the joy in simplicity, of seeing the world through colors untouched by hesitation or doubt.

Mr. Chaplin

This piece is a tribute to Charlie Chaplin, an artist who turned laughter into philosophy and silence into poetry. His ability to reveal the human condition through humor has always inspired me. In this portrait, I wanted to capture both his wit and his quiet melancholy, the sparkle of joy balanced by the shadows of reflection. His smile reminds us that even in hardship, the spirit can find light.

Self-Portrait

I created this painting on our second wedding anniversary. It's based on a photograph of my wife and me, taken during our first road trip to West Virginia in 2016. This piece holds a quiet nostalgia, a reminder of new beginnings, shared laughter, and the colors that love adds to ordinary moments.
